Mallory has been carrying stuff around the house a lot. Today she was carrying hers and Mason's milk cups. She would set one down and then the other. She would go to pick them each back up and as she did she would grunt and growl like she was straining because they were soooo heavy. Ha! I can already picture her saying "but Mom, it's just so so heaaaby".
She also started this so cute but also incredibly helpful way of looking for her Ellie and her paci. When she just gets that desire to have a paci and cuddle her lovie she will drop what she is doing, stand up abruptly and start wandering around the house saying "uh oh, ohhhhh, uh oh, uh oh" as if to exclaim her sincere disappointment that her beloved Ellie and all 50 million pacis in the house might be lost foreverrrrr! Seriously, that must never happen or we're doomed!
Mason used to be famous for just throwing things down when he didn't want them anymore. His cup, food, toys... whatever he didn't need always went violently to the floor. Now he will hand you what he is finished with. He will be across the room and decide he needs a drink of milk so he holds out his hand with his cereal bar and says "heeeeuhhh" (here). Thanks buddy, for sharing everything you don't want. The even funnier part is you have to come get it from him in a timely manner or he will get impatient and throw it down anyway. It just makes me laugh.
He has also perfected his "s" sound and oddly enough his three clearest words at the moment are "set", "sausage" and "sista". Yes, "sista". We will eventually work on the "er" part but now he sees pictures of Mallory on my digital frame and he takes his tiny pointer finger and points while saying "sista, sista, sista" in an adorable high pitched voice. We eat turkey breakfast sausage links almost every morning and he will point at it and say "sausay". And my favorite, my parents say "ready, set, go" when they play different games at their house. Well Mason recently picked up the word "set" in that phrase so now he will say it when you start with "ready". He doesn't have the "t" sound down so it comes out "seeeeh" and it is too precious. He even draws out the sound like you would if you were saying it. Ha!
We are having so much fun watching these monkeys do things that we immediately say "how do they know to do that!!" They definitely keep us entertained!
