Mommy Vacation

A couple weeks ago I had the privilege of going on my annual girls trips with 2 of my best girlfriends! This is our 3rd year in a row to take a girls weekend in April before the busy summer time comes.

Our flight left super early on Friday but we managed to make it on the plane with smiling faces!

We arrived in Houston so early that day that we weren't even sure where to go, haha. We ended up at La Madeline for a delicious breakfast and some caffeine!

We did some great shopping (Kendra Scott literally 5 steps from our hotel!) and enjoyed a nice lunch at Yard House.

Our view of City Centre while enjoying lunch and the amazing weather on the patio!

After lunch we did some more shopping and even made a trip to Target before a little afternoon resting in the hotel. We are all 3 seafood lovers so we were thrilled that there was a Pappadeaux very close by to enjoy for dinner.

A selfie before dinner, haha.

We filled our tummies and went to bed after such an early wake up call that day. We slept late on Saturday and then got ready for day two of fun.

Our hotel was so nice and this wall made the perfect backdrop for a girly picture together!

We started our day with some brunch and mimosas at one of our favorite local eaterys then off for more shopping at a nearby mall. We relaxed a little and then decided on some amazing sushi for dinner at Ra Sushi.

My pick was seriously amazing. I had this and some tuna nigiri and I was in sushi heaven!

On Sunday we packed up all our loot and headed back to the airport. We planned to grab one more seafood meal at the Pappadeaux in the airport but once we were seated and ordered, we realized it was time for us to board the plane. Haha. We all had ordered seafood Cobb salads so they made them to go. Everyone on the plane sure appreciated the smell of shrimp and crab we brought aboard, hehe. But it was so worth it.

We spent a lot of money and gained about 10 pounds, but more importantly we made some more special memories together and we all left feeling recharged and refreshed to get back to "real life" again!

(We did decide we are glad we don't live in Houston though. We would weigh 500 pounds and be in thousands of dollars worth of debt. Haha!)

I'm so thankful to my husband for taking time off work and for loosening the budget a bit for me to enjoy some time with my girls. The kids enjoyed their weekend with Daddy, but they really did miss me too. And that's a good feeling! ;)

Can't wait for next years adventure!! I will leave you with this cuteness! We were on our trip exactly a year ago and we totally coincidentally took a picture in the hall of the hotel again in the exact same places as last years pic!  Love it!

TBall Time

One of the only things I enjoy about spring is back! It's TBall season!

When we learned that Baby A was a boy, I would lay in bed and imagine myself cheering on my son at his TBall games. I grew up watching baseball with my Dad and it's one of the few sports I really enjoy watching.

We are on the Arizona Wildcats this year and we have an excellent coach and team!

Our first practice! We are on the same team as Mason's buddy Kipton again! They were excited!

On deck at his first game!

First hit of the season!

Run Mason, run!

A small part of #9s cheering section!

It's been a fun season so far and the boys have already learned a lot. We are proud of our little baseball player!
