Days of Our Lives

The days just keep flying by and I can't believe it's almost November!

Mal on a school day. I just had to snap a picture of her looking so grown up!

My poor Bubba boy woke up feeling crappy last week and was running 102 degree fever by lunch time. He went down hill that night so Thursday we went to the doctor. He tested positive for the flu!! (He had the flu shot exactly 2 weeks before the day he got sick.) He was so miserable and unfortunately the tamiflu had bad affects on his tummy so we just had to ride it out.

Sickly boy waiting on sis to finish dance.

He still has a scratch on his nose from holding a throw up cup for three days straight. (Pitiful. He is trying desperately to sleep in this pic but was too nauseous.)

I gave Mal the option to stay home or go to school. (She's never been without Mase.) She was SO excited to go by herself and it was the best day at school she's had all year! Haha. Bless her heart. She loves getting all the attention when Buds not around! :)

So our weekend was spent at home recovering and just getting some much needed work done around the house. Daddy took Mallory to her soccer game and then to the home improvement store. She enjoyed her day with him. Mason and I cuddled and did ABC mouse lessons between med doses and hydrating.

The sight in our house by Sunday night! Thankful that life returned to normal this week and praying it stays that way!!

Busy Fall

I am trying my hardest to post at least once a week, but things get so busy and I can't keep up! The weekends host most of our fun and memories around here so let me catch up!

Soccer, soccer and more soccer! :)

A sweet lady's 93rd birthday party!

Ran into these cuties at church and went out for lunch and to catch up!

This one came down with an ear infection but she is sleeping much better now!

Hawaiian day for spirit week at dance!

Mal and her sweet little dance friends!

My handsome nephew cheering on his cousins at soccer!

Uncle Ada and sister being silly during Bubbas game.

D helped coach Masers team and they did great!

Mal throwing the ball in

Go BLASTERS!

Our dance studio just moved into a new big beautiful building and we were able to go to the grand opening after soccer. We put Mals hand print on the wall that will be behind one of the mirrors. She colored her hand green. I asked, what do you want to say and she said "I love you!" Haha. I edited it to "I love dance" and she said yeah! :)

On Sunday after church we decided to have a quick lunch and I was able to get these precious pics out on the patio as we were leaving.

My WORLD!

After lunch we went to buy the kids new full size mattresses so we could upgrade their beds. Such a bittersweet day. I've ordered their bedding, have some touch up to do, and we will do some rearranging once it's all here. But my goodness they look little in these big beds!

Time continues to fly and before you know it I will be posting about their 4th birthday! Slow down kiddos!!

Weekend Wrap Up

Last week the kids had a great week at school so we kicked Friday off with a lunch and play date.

Mason was being quite the hambone!

The monkeys went for a sleepover with Gamaw and Papaw that night so D made reservations at a nice restaurant and took me on a date! We get to go out often but not as fancily as we did so it was fun!

Saturday Maser had a soccer game and he was all sorts of amped up. He was jumping around and attacking the ball. He scored a goal and a couple for the other team. He started getting a little frustrated towards the end of the game but it was definitely an improvement from the first week!

After the game the boys went to the deer lease to hunt and to fish at the lake there.  Mal and I did some organizing at the house, picked up dinner and bought the Cinderella movie. It was some good girl time!

D got this great pic of my sweet boy!

Sunday my girl and I went to paint at the pottery.

She picked a princess, painted her pink and blue, then had me add some polka dots.

Oh the concentration!

I enjoyed my one on one time with this joyful child!

Love fall weekends!

Happenings

Before our Houston trip, the kids both had their first soccer games.

Mason's was first and he was a little in shock that everyone kept taking the ball away! The whole team had a rough start but we encouraged them through it and they learned a lot.

Mallorys game was after Bubbas and she was excited to start but most of the team was in tears and wouldn't get on the field. Mal did well but got easily discouraged about not getting the ball.

Overall the first games went as expected and we were proud of both troopers!

The kids had their first dress up day at school which was team spirit day. We had to wear black and red of course!

Last weekend Mallory had a game and she did so much better than the first! She played almost the whole game because 1 of the girls was out of town and 2 others were upset and did not want to get on the field. We were so proud of our girl for being brave! And, she even scored her FIRST GOAL! I think they could hear us cheering for her from every field!

We deemed her player of the game!!

Mason's game was canceled so we were able to make it to our favorite annual fair!

The first thing we did was get this girls face painted! She picked a beautiful sparkly butterfly and it fit her perfectly!

Mason played lots of games with Gamaw and Daddy while I waited on sister. I watched him do skee ball and he was awesome! Winning tickets right and left!

Then we went over to the rides and they rode everything they could.

We are loving the nicer weather and all the outdoor fun this time of year brings.

Weekend wrap up of a super fun weekend is next!

H Town Getaway

A couple of weeks ago we had the opportunity to fly to Houston with D so he could attend a conference for work and we could hang out in the hotel and play and swim. Definitely one of the perks of getting to stay home and not having kiddos in school yet!

Ready to get on the airplane!

The hotel we stayed in was nice and had a pretty pool but was unfortunately in a not so great part of town. But we enjoyed the hotel pool and restaurant.

We were able to meet up with Dusty's great Aunt Suzie and Uncle Tom for dinner at their country club and see their new house. We sure enjoyed our visit with them!

Trying to get a pic before dinner! Turkeys!

Aunt Suzie and Mal :)

One of Daddy's vendors brought a box of caramel candy apples and goodies to our room and the kids enjoyed them!

We had planned on spending 2 more days in the hotel and then spending the weekend with our friends. Sweet Andrea kindly offered to take the kids and I in early when she learned what part of town we were in so we took her up on it. The kids were thrilled to be at their beautiful home with their friend Caleb, his toys and their big awesome backyard!

The boys enjoying a delicious pizza dinner!

We took the kids to a splash pad and they loved it!

That night the kids played outside more and got soooooo dirty. It was awesome watching these 2 be such boys!

The timing of our trip worked out so well. We were able to be there for Calebs 3rd birthday party. It was awesome and the kids had a blast.

The grandparents rented this massive water slide bouncy house thing and it was a hit. Mason got on it at 11 am and we had to pry him off when they came to pick it up around 5! Mallory would not go down by herself but I got on it with her for a while and we both had a blast.

The sweet birthday boy loved his dinosaur from the twins!

The whole trip was a great time away and we enjoyed our visits with friends and family. Love our little family adventures!
