Change

So as if life wasn't just busy enough, we decided to sell our house. Yep, decided last week to throw our house on the market. The market here in our town is just crazy right now and its a great time to sell but a horrible time to buy. Everything is overpriced. However, wanting to take advantage of interest rates before they creep back up and selling our house for profit, we decided to go for it. I have been praying about it for the last year. Exactly one year ago we signed papers to put our house on the market and then I freaked out about being homeless with 2 infants! Ha! But now it just seemed so right.

Our house officially went on Thursday evening at 5 and we accepted and signed an offer (over our asking price!) Saturday night at 6, after receiving four reasonable offers. I am telling you, its just crazy here.

We currently live in a 1400 square foot house. Is it a good house? Yes. Is it live-able for 2 adults and 2 toddlers? Absolutely. Are we completely out of room and have things stuffed in every corner of this house? You got it.

We need space. Not a lot more space, but space indeed. So, we are now hopeful that everything goes smoothly with the sale and that we will find a place soon. Our current plan is to move out with G&P and move our stuff into storage. We have an offer in on a house currently. On my dream house actually. But money negotiations are not going so well, so unless the Lord has a miracle in store for us, it looks like that deal is not going to work out. And that is ok. Because I have faith that we will end up in the exact house that our little family is supposed to be in. Not to say I won't be disappointed because I am human and I also tend to get my way on most things. ;)

I've said all along, we are not taking a risk, we are taking a leap of faith. Because I do have faith that the Lord has a plan for our family and our new home, although we don't have a clear picture of it yet, I am very excited to see where we end up!

Now I would love to leave you with pictures of my dream house. But seeing as though it is not mine at the moment and probably wont be in this lifetime that might be weird. So, I'll leave you with pictures of our first home. Where we first brought our sweet babies home and watched them take their first steps. It's a bittersweet feeling letting go of the place where so many memories were made. But excited for a new beginning with my little family.

Oh Summer...

Oh summer, how I love thee, but my how you keep us so busy!

Mommy and Daddy's lunch dates at Roadhouse.

For the record, I was not in the room when this happened...

I pulled out Mal's crib and discovered...

Fun in the sun at the water park...

Fun with friends...

You think they have enough bath toys?

Mexican food with family. Mal ate two whole guacamole stars and Mas ate lots of rice. Mex lovers like Mommy!

The view of H&P's pool! Our favorite place this summer!

Enjoying a little Grey's on TV while swimming with my monkeys and Mami!

Big boy loves swimming by himself with his puddle jumper!

Big girl sunbathing! ;)

Little water buggies...

Sweet summertime!

Rainy Days

It has been cool, rainy and dark here the last 4 days. I love this weather. Makes me so ready for fall and college football! But, this weather also means we are stuck inside a lot and honestly, it makes me lazy! We have been so busy this summer that I have given in to the laziness a little this week! ;)

These two have been good kiddos despite the potential for cabin fever. We have enjoyed lots of playing, coloring, movies and cuddles the last couple of days. And the buggies have sure kept Mommy entertained. Oh the personalities on these two! Wouldn't trade these days for the world...

OYW

Wow, I am way behind on my One Year Wednesday posts so lets take a look back at a few memories from this time last year.

Cutie buggies!

And I lost them to the Bubble Guppies, ha!

(I didn't actually have any pics on this day but the next couple of days involved all of this fun!)

We did lots of swimming in this fabulous little pool last summer!

I gave Mason a yogurt melt for the first time. His reaction was priceless!

This moment seriously melted my heart! Sweet girl!

I Spy

I spy with my little eye... two wee little toddlers.

Can you find them?

Really? Because when I walked in this room it took me much longer to reach "two" on my headcount.

Because their new favorite thing is to empty all the toys out of the storage ottomans and climb inside and on top.

And this is in addition to the usual mess.

Needless to say we are working on the "clean up, clean up, everybody everywhere! clean up, clean up, everybody do your share!" song.

So far, Mommy has the biggest share.

:)

Talking Tots

Just in the past couple of weeks the twins have really started to talk more. I am so excited for this phase to be here, not only for more effective communication than whining and crying, but also because I think it's so cute to hear these tiny humans expressing everyday phrases with their own effort.

I have been keeping track of cute things they have been saying and how they say them so wanted to journal it all for fun memories! Some of these they say all the time while others I have only heard a few times.

Mason still speaks a lot of gibberish but with a lot more sounds and you can also tell he is very deliberate with what he is saying. What are you talking about these days my little man?

- niy niy (night night)
- sausid (sausage)
- thay eww (thank you)
- sista (sister)
- neh (milk)
- seh (set)
- unn (one)
- do (two)
- Nini (Honey)
- hosey (horsey)
- eh uh (uh oh)
- Dada (Daddy)
- sheh (shoe)
- heuh (here)
- heyoh (hello)
- ch ch (choo choo)

Mallory is a chatterbox and I think she has developed words for things on her own because she will repeat things and I have no idea what the word is but she sure does! What are you telling us about these days Mal Mal?

- take you (thank you)
- uh oh
- welcome (your welcome)
- der she id (there she is)
- der ew go (there you go)
- pease (please)
- oh bubba
- oh hi
- oh hey
- oh yeah
- oh kaaaay (ok)
- bye buddy (bye everybody)
- Daddy
- Mama
- wah (one)
- do (two)
- dee (three)
- shoe
- dis (this)
- bye bye
- heyoh (hello)
- bebay (baby)
- bubby (puppy)
- hosey (horsey)

The noise level in my house is going to increase a few decibels over the next 6 months! But I'm not gonna lie, hearing my daughter say "oh yeaaaaaaah" when she finds something cool in the playroom, makes all the noise totally worth it! Loving these little personalities in my life!

Photo Random-ness

Life lately...

Daddy let us out to play (and sweep?) 2 seconds before it started to pour. Mommy was super happy considering she had already bathed and jammied us!

My sweet little weirdo.

Sour strawberry face...

Rough life kid.

This one and her pacis. I'm in for it when the time comes to... I can't even say it!
