Just a quick post to kindly request prayers for my sweet friend Sara and her new baby girl! Baby Cora was not due for another 6 weeks but unfortunatley Mommy developed severe preeclampsia and test results Monday showed it was no longer safe for the pregnancy to continue. So they started her induction yesterday evening and this beautiful baby girl was born at 1:21 pm today weighing 4 pounds 4.6 ounces and 19 in long.
She is currently in the NICU receiving oxygen and under evaluation. Prayers for quick healing for baby Cora's tiny body would be much appreciated! Also, for my Sara. Preeclampsia is a very real and dangerous disease and while delivering the baby reduces much of the risk that this brings, she is not out of the woods yet. She is receiving magnesium for her blood pressure as well as anti-seizure medications. The hardest part about this is she is unable to see her baby girl until they complete all these meds and feel like she is well enough to be up and around.
I was blessed to be able to be in the delivery room for her birth and photograph this incredible miracle of life! It was an amazing experience! And now Sara and I will share the experience of being NICU Moms, but I am praying her journey there is short!!
