What a wonderfully exhausting weekend with the fam. Friday we drove to Fredericksburg, joining the rest of D's family for his uncles boys joint birthday party. Friday night we went out to eat with everyone. We got checked into our hotel which was so neat but I was a little worried at first. It was literally an "inn". You open the door and it was a room big enough to fit a king bed and night stand. But it ended up being cozy and everyone, quite shockingly, slept great! All 4 of us in one bed! Saturday morning we went to watch big E play soccer while Daddy played golf. Then we went to my favorite ever Mamacitas! (No trip to Fburg is complete without it!) That evening was the birthday party. It was so much fun. The kids absolutley loved it and were very well behaved. They did not nap that day but played and played until 10 that night. Then they crashed! Sunday we had planned on just packing up and getting home early but we decided on an impromptu stop at Enchanted Rock to get some energy out before the drive home. I am so glad we stopped. Mason just amazed us. We thought we would play around on the rocks at the bottom of the mountain but nope, Maser was determined to go to the top and pushed the whole family up! It was beautiful and the view was amazing. The kids were right in their element and didn't complain once. That goes down in the books as one of my favorite adventures thus far.
