I am so behind on all the excitement going on around here! I'll start with our trip to visit family and friends in Houston a couple of weeks ago. We left on a Thursday evening and traveled to D's Aunt Sandys house in Austin. We arrived late but we were able to enjoy an early lunch with her before finishing the trip to Houston. It was great to visit Aunt Sandy for a short time!
When we arrived in Houston we were able to stop for a visit with our good friends Shea and Andrea and their baby Caleb. They moved from our town a few months ago so it was nice to catch up and see their beautiful new house. They conveniently live just a few minutes away from D's Aunt Suzie and Uncle Tom so we headed over to their house to get settled for the weekend. Later we all met for some delicious Mexican food, my fave!
Saturday we spent the day with Aunt Suzie at their gorgeous house off the lake and golf course. The kids loved it outside and wore themselves out running around, waving at golfers, hunting pinecones, rolling down the hills, and climbing the steps over and over. I enjoyed some bonding time with Aunt Suzie while the men golfed. Later we were able to visit with more family Troy and Stephanie who travelled from further south of the Houston area to see us. We watched football and enjoyed a lovely meal later that evening. Sunday we had a long travel day home so we loaded and left town right after breakfast. It was a wonderful trip and time away as a family. Hopefully we can make it an annual tradition!
