So I mentioned before that I moved the kids to a new school. I had multiple, albeit minor, issues at the old MDO program, but was fully prepared to just tough them out for the remainder of the year. I began calling and praying about what to do with the kids next year because I knew I did not want to return to that school.
We absolutley adored the staff and program that the twins were in last school year. But, I had to pull them out mid-year when we were missing too much school because the kids kept catching every illness going around. And when registration started for this year, I decided I just wanted them in one day a week instead of two.
So, this February I called our old program and they were going to do everything they could do get us back in next school year. Then, just a couple of weeks later they called and said they had a little girl moving which would leave 2 open spots for the twins if we wanted to start after spring break! Also, that would basically guarantee us a spot for next year since we could register with current families.
I was so relieved and thankful! So last Tuesday was the kids first day and they loved it! I left in tears after dropping the kids off because I was overjoyed by how loving and excited the twins teachers were to have them. Mason was still crying every time at drop off at the old school and now, after 3 days at the new program, he has not cried once! He loves his sweet teachers! Mallory enjoys it as well but we are in the middle of some behavioral and communication issues with her so she has had more challenging moments than her Bubba. But, her teachers are sweet and loving but also working very hard with her to improve some of these issues. (More on this later.)
I am thankful for this answered prayer and am looking forward to all the exciting activities at the school through the end of the year.
The first day was St. Patrick's Day...
