Weekend With My BFF

My bestest friend Lacye spent this past weekend with me and it was some MUCH NEEDED girl time! We had so much fun, talked too much, ate too much, spent way too much money and stayed up way too late! And loved every minute of it! She got in on Friday and was able to spend some time with my monkeys before I shipped them off to Gamaw for the night. (Thanks so much to my MIL and FIL for keeping the buggies!)

Reading! Getting some girl bonding in!

Lace and my Maser man

Best friends and the twins (and Jessie and Woody, of course)

Friday night Lace and I were able to go out and have some drinks, long chats, and good food. Saturday we spent the whole day shopping! We love shopping together and we can always do some real damage, but it's our girls weekend tradition! Saturday Dusty offered to keep the twins so we could enjoy another dinner out. (Side note: Lacye and I ate the exact same thing every meal the entire weekend, all the way down to the drink and flavor of chips. Ha! True friends!) Then we stayed up way late watching Dawson's Creek reruns and chatting. I am so thankful to have her in my life and that she was willing to spend her childless weekend away with me!

Sunday, after Lace departed back to her sweet family, we just enjoyed my favorite "lazy day Sunday" around the house as a family. We did lots of playing outside with these little cuties.

MGB showing me her awesome pink shovel

Mason playing inside the tote (I don't know his obsession with sitting in boxes, see this?)

And now everyone is in the box!

The kids LOVE being outside. I snapped these pics of them last week. I am happy I have some little outside bugs!

My super handsome but getting too big boy!

Pretty little sister playing

Having a nice little chat at their picnic table, so sweet!

And I found this gem on the computer today and just wanted to share. This was the day of her first ponytail... a very momentous occasion in our house!

Too cute for words!

Have a blessed week! Praying for all of those affected by the Boston tragedy today. I just can't imagine...

Just life...

I am happy to report that it's just normal life around here! No illness, no trips, no new excitement to share. So now you just get pictures! :)

Little bo peep, lost her sheep...

Just being cute

My kids are huge Rosa's fans!

Project Pinterest

Pinterest is seriously evil for anyone trying to eat better or lose weight! There are so many yummy recipes to try. Over the last couple weeks I decided to do a few of the simple ones.

I pinned this breakfast grilled cheese sandwich laying in bed one night and when I showed it to my husband, he said I HAD to make it for him! It was delicious and easy.

(My half eaten sandwich pic taken with my iPhone. Ha!)

I have made these no bake cookies before but it had been so long and I lost the recipe, so I decided to try them again. I went to buy the ingredients and they had special dark cocoa! Yummmm! We love dark chocolate and they were tasty!

We eat a lot of chicken but I get so burnt out on grilled or baked chicken that I wanted some new ideas. I saw this teriyaki chicken crock pot recipe and gave it a shot. It was good but mine looked nothing like that. Haha. The babies likes it too! My husband suggested adding pineapples to it so I think I will try that next time.

Last, I had been seeing these salad type recipes and pinned so many of them I decided to just combine some of my favorite ingredients from each and create my own. But they all looked so good!

Mine had baby spinach, fresh mozzarella, golden snacking tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, avocado, black olives, and Italian vinaigrette. It was fabulous and light!

Any simple pinterest recipes that you have tried? Please share!

Easter 2013

He is risen! He is risen indeed!
Hope you all had a blessed Easter!

The twins had fun this weekend but are still much to young to fully enjoy the holiday. They didn't quite get egg hunting but sure had fun digging into Easter baskets from Aunt Karen, Gamaw and Papaw, and the Easter bunny!

The Easter bunny brought Mallory her very first purse and some flower bracelets!

Bubba showing me his talking Thomas! He loves trains!

The family on Easter. It was horribly windy! :(

Baby girl in her pretty dress. She obviously attempted to pull out her bow. Surprise. :)

The Easter bunny came to Gamaw's house too!

It was a fun weekend making memories with my little family!

Lovin Life

Mason watching cousin Cainen play a game on the iPad. We loved getting to spend time with the boys and Aunt Sandy over spring break.

Mallory snuggling cousin Cameron. She used the stool to climb up there with him and just nestled in. Melted my heart!

Mason loves to wrestle with Daddy. This is his signature move. :)

My sleepy girl and her beloved Ellie and paci.

Daddy took us to eat at On The Border. The kids were so good and loved talking to everyone there!

My cutie pie dancing to some music while we ate.

We are starting to learn how to eat out of bowls and use spoons. My big girl having fun.

Mason just likes to bang the spoon on the bowl while using his other hand to pick up his food. Ha!

Had our first ice cream experience at Honey and Poppy's house.

Trying to decide if she is a fan or not.

Swim classes with Gamaw. We have loved it so much!

And my Princess finally got enough hair for a teensy tiny ponytail! So sweet!

Hope you have a great week!
