Memorial Day 2016

We had a fun and busy Memorial Day weekend this year. We kicked things off Friday night at the 1/4 mile race track in Hobbs with some family and friends!

Saturday we went out to Gamaw and Papaws for some cookout and swimming fun!

Sunday we went out to a friends house and I didn't take a single picture. But the kids sure had fun playing!

On Memorial Day we took the jet skis to the lake to play for a day. It was so much fun!!

Summertime is so busy, but way too much fun!!

More May Moments

After recital weekend, the kids had their last week of Parents Day Out. We certainly had our share of rough days his year, but overall it was a successful year and I am proud of the progress both of these kids made.

The twins will certainly miss the sweet friends they made but we are excited about starting preschool next year!

Last month we were also able to get the whole family together to attend a Rockhounds baseball game!

Mallory had another consultation to check on her umbilical hernia and I snapped this picture of her sitting like such a big girl waiting for the doctor...

She still has a small hernia that will likely not repair itself so we are looking at surgery at the end of the summer. Not excited about that, but it's a minor procedure that she will recover from fairly quickly.

We waited forever at this appointment unfortunately, so I took the kids for a late lunch and some playtime to get some energy out!

He was delirious from 2 hours in the waiting room!

Then, it finally got warm enough for our first swim of the summer!

Recital Weekend

Mallory performed in her second dance recital a couple of weeks ago, and we could not be more proud of our little angel. She shined up there on that stage and she loved every minute of it!

Getting hair and makeup done before dress rehearsal. She loves getting all done up and especially loves wearing makeup. Ha!

Future Architect

Our sweet girl has really impressed us lately with her new skills she has been developing over the last few months.

For Christmas Mallory received Magna Tiles from Aunt Mami and Uncle Ada. She has built some pretty amazing creations with those things and she can entertain herself for a few hours with them, especially if no one else is around to knock her creations down!

One of her first ones, she called a "water train".

Along with her incredible building talents, she is really proving to be quite an artist. She loves to draw!

Her first and favorite major drawing that she describes as a "clam with wiggly legs". :)

This one, she came and got me and said "look mom, I colored a beehive!"

Last weekend she took some time to draw her Daddy and me some pictures to hang in our room. I opted for our bathroom mirrors instead so that we can start the day with these sweet reminders of what a blessing our kiddos are to us.

So, do we have a future architect on our hands? I am not sure, but no matter what she does, I know her passion and spark for life will take her very far and I'm already so proud.
