A Beautiful Mess and Blessed!: 4 months

4 months

On March 21st the twins turned 4 months old! WOW! It seems like just yesterday we were going to the hospital to deliver! Such sweet and funny babies they have become.

At our 4 month well check, Mason weighed a whopping 14 pounds (33rd percentile) and was 24.5 inches long (35th percentile). Mallory weighed 13 pounds 8 ounces (49th percentile) and was 23 inches long (20th percentile). They are both growing and developing right on track and we could not be prouder of our little monkeys!

What are you up to at 4 months old? You are eating anywhere from 2 oz to 7 oz of formula every 3 hours during the day and going anywhere from 5 hours to 8 hours at night. Your feedings, especially Mason not as much with Mallory, have become very erratic. The doc assured me this is normal as your appetite will change depending on your activity levels. And you are certainly more active these days!! You are on all formula and at your 4 month appt the pedi said we can try to get you off the Alimentum and on regular Similac so we are in that process now. You can both sit up with support and Mason you love your tummy time! Mallory is not a fan of tummy time but we are working on it. Mason, you rolled from your tummy to your back and your back to your tummy just before your 4 month birthday! You have only done it a couple times since but I think you have got the hang of it. You both LOVE to be entertained and talked to. You giggle and smile and squeal and love to make sounds! You also both love your hands and like to suck on them and bring them to your face a lot! Mallory, you my sweet girl are quite the drooler! I have not put you in bibs yet but if it gets any worse, we might have to! :) You are both so sweet and happy. We are truly blessed to have such amazing little babies.
